On July 21, 2026, a delegation comprising over 100 Hong Kong students and guests visited BJMTR for a site visit and exchange activities, gaining an up-close understanding of the capital's rail transit industry development and cross-city cooperation, while fostering dialogue on youth career growth.
This exchange event was meticulously planned by BJMTR, with the delegation initiated by the Hong Kong Quality Mentorship Network (QMN) and the Beijing Overseas Friendship Association. Distinguished attendees included Yang Lishan, Chairperson of QMN and President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC); Kit Tse Tsui-yan, Commander of Kowloon East Region, Hong Kong Police Force; Frank Liu, General Manager of BJMTR and Vice President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China (HKCCC); Kevin Kiang and Yang Zhongwei, Deputy General Managers; along with heads of relevant departments.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of BJMTR's establishment. Over the past two decades, the company has proactively drawn on MTR's experience while adapting to Beijing's local context, consistently delivering safe and high-quality commuting services for residents. Simultaneously, it has leveraged its industry strengths to build a platform for Hong Kong youth to learn about the mainland's development, continuously deepening cooperation in the rail transit sector between the two cities.
