BJMTR Launches 62-Day Summer Transportation Service Guarantee, Implementing Multiple Measures to Ensure Smooth Passenger Travel

The 2026 summer transportation period runs from July 1 to August 31, lasting 62 days. In the face of intertwined hot and humid weather with the flood season, as well as the overlapping of daily commuting and tourist passenger flows, to effectively ensure safe, smooth, and comfortable travel for passengers, lines operated by BJMTR have comprehensively launched a dedicated "Summer Transportation Service Guarantee" initiative, focusing on multiple dimensions such as train operation organization, crowd control, Excellent services, and flood season safety, based on summer weather and passenger flow characteristics. It is estimated that during this summer transportation period, total ridership on lines operated by BJMTR will reach 140 million trips, seeing an increase of about 6.1% compared with the same period in 2025.

As the summer transportation period coincides with Beijing's flood season, all lines and stations operated by BJMTR will strictly implement emergency plans, optimize duty arrangements, and increase inspection patrol frequency. In the event of rainy weather, staff will promptly clear accumulated water at station entrance, lay anti-slip mats, install safety warning signs, and stock sufficient disposable raincoats. If flood conditions occur, the emergency response mechanism will be swiftly activated to rapidly organize passenger evacuation and safeguard the flood season safety baseline. Meanwhile, all stations operated by BJMTR will strictly adhere to the principle of "simultaneous inspection of individuals and belongings," continue to intensify efforts to detect and intercept prohibited items, comprehensively strengthen the summer operational safety defense line, and protect passenger travel safety.
