The 2026 Qingming Holiday falls from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Monday). As the weather warms and the demand for spring outings increases, coupled with tomb-sweeping travel flows, passenger flow is expected to rise across all BJMTR lines.To ensure safe and smooth journeys for passengers, BJMTR has completed advance arrangements. By dynamically adjusting train capacity, upgrading services at stations surrounding cemeteries and scenic areas, and organizing volunteer services, the company will fully safeguard passenger travel throughout the Qingming Holiday.
To provide students with more opportunities to participate in volunteer services and expand their social practice experience, BJMTR recently partnered with six schools along its lines—Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University, University of International Relations, High School Affiliated to BIT, and Fengtai No.2 High School—to jointly conduct station volunteer service activities. During the Qingming holiday, student volunteers will assist station staff at key locations including entrances, platforms, and ticket vending machines at Beigongmen Station, Peking Univ. East Gate Station, Haidian Huangzhuang Station, National Library Station, and Weigongcun Station on Line 4-Daxing, as well as Fengtai Railway Station on Line 16. They will provide passenger services including route guidance, ticket purchasing assistance, and order maintenance. While facilitating passenger travel, student volunteers will also cultivate a spirit of volunteerism and enhance their sense of social responsibility through hands-on participation in urban public services.
BJMTR reminds passengers that before traveling, they can use the BJMTR WeChat mini-program to check travel routes, as well as information on in-station facilities and lost property at stations on lines operated by BJMTR. Passengers may also follow BJMTR's official Weibo account for real-time metro operation updates and weather information, enabling them to plan their travel schedules accordingly.
