On May 27, BJMTR released its 2024-2025 Sustainability Report, which systematically demonstrates the latest progress and achievements of the company in the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) fields. This is the fifth Sustainability Report publicly released by BJMTR. This year, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of BJMTR's establishment, the report includes a special "20th Anniversary Column" that comprehensively reviews the development and achievements of BJMTR over the past 20 years.
The report is structured into 7 major sections, systematically presenting the company’s accountability and achievements from 2024 to 2025
In addition to the 20th Anniversary Column, BJMTR’s 2024–2025 Sustainability Report systematically outlines its ESG initiatives and outcomes from 2024 to 2025 across seven strategic pillars: Safe Operations, Excellent Services, Innovation and Collaboration, Employee Development, Community Integration, Protecting the Environment, and Management System.
Frank Liu, General Manager of BJMTR, stated that since its establishment in 2006, the company has undergone twenty years of development. During this period, we have consistently introduced MTR’s concepts and experience, fully combining local characteristics to carry out innovative practices. Starting from the initial Line 4, the network has now expanded to five operating lines, achieving five major breakthroughs in financing models, the route scale, service scope, operation and maintenance standards, and corporate sustainability. As a rail transit enterprise deeply integrating the features and advantages of Beijing and Hong Kong, we have always adhered to the philosophy of “Safety First” and “Excellent Service”, continuously providing safe and reliable travel services for passengers while actively exploring practical pathways for urban sustainable development. In the future, BJMTR will further strengthen cooperation with the government, passengers, communities, and other stakeholders, jointly building a safer, more convenient, greener, and smarter urban transportation system to enable rail transit to play a greater role in urban development and citizens’ lives.
