The first AI escalator step detection instrument for domestic rail transit has been put into use at BJMTR

Recently, the first AI escalator step detection instrument in the domestic rail transit industry has been officially put into use at BJMTR. The device integrates line laser and AI intelligent technology, integrating four core detection functions and supporting six intelligent fault recognition capabilities. It can accurately collect data from escalator step surfaces while efficiently evaluating their health status, achieving comprehensive coverage of escalator operation status, automated inspection, and real-time dynamic diagnosis. A full inspection of a single escalator takes only 3 minutes, with an efficiency improvement of 30 times and a detection accuracy improvement of 10 times compared to the manual inspection and status assessment method. This effectively enhances equipment safety levels, providing passengers with more reliable safety assurance during their metro travel.
