To the delighted cheers of students, a metro safety class kicked off at Beijing Petroleum Institute Affiliated Primary School. On April 13, the BJMTR Safety Camp entered the campus, focusing on the theme of "Safety on Escalators" and aligning with the characteristics of spring travel safety. Through engaging explanations, science experiment demonstrations, and situational skits, the event made escalator safety knowledge clear and easy to understand. The activity combined in-person interaction with online live streaming, delivering a vivid safety lesson to nearly 1,000 students.
A teacher who participated in the activity remarked that the lively format and practical content effectively transformed abstract safety knowledge into concepts easily understood by students, which closely aligns with the cognitive characteristics of primary school children. Through hands-on experiments and engaging interactions, the students shifted their mindset from "being told to be safe" to "wanting to be safe themselves." The teacher noted that this approach is far more effective than repetitive lecturing and helps students develop good safety habits in their daily lives.
A representative of BJMTR stated that students are an important passenger group for metro travel and are also at a critical stage for developing safety habits. With spring travel characteristics in mind, the company carried out the "Safety Camp" program, using engaging methods such as interactive experiments and safety rhymes to teach students about metro travel and escalator safety, helping them build safety awareness from an early age. Looking ahead, BJMTR will continue to deepen collaboration with schools and communities to establish a long-term mechanism for safety education, actively fulfill its corporate social responsibility, and contribute to enhancing the safety literacy of young people and fostering a safe and civilized travel environment.
