BJMTR's 2026 Spring Festival Travel Season: Multiple Measures, Approximately 73.6 Million Passengers Safely Transported

The 2026 Spring Festival travel season ran for 40 days, from February 2 to March 13. During this period, BJMTR's lines transported a total of approximately 73.595 million passengers, seeing a 7.8% year-on-year increase. Among these, the Line 4–Daxing carried approximately 30.116 million passengers, Line 14 carried approximately 23.814 million, Line 16 carried approximately 10.413 million, and Line 17 carried approximately 9.252 million. A total of 150 additional trains were deployed to precisely match passenger demand, ensuring smooth and efficient travel for all passengers.

During the Spring Festival travel season, the top three stations in terms of passenger traffic among the stations operated by BJMTR were Beijing South Railway Station on Line 4-Daxing, Fengtai Railway Station on Line 16, and Xihong Men Station on Line 4-Daxing. Among them, Beijing South Railway Station on Line 4-Daxing recorded a highest daily passenger traffic of 0.279 million. In response to the characteristics of concentrated passenger flow and diverse travel needs during the Spring Festival travel season, BJMTR ensured smooth travel for passengers by taking measures such as optimizing passenger transport organization, extending operating hours, strengthening equipment maintenance, and reinforcing service guarantees.
