Wangjing xi Station on BJMTR Line 17 officially commenced operations on January 31

The Wangjingxi Station on BJMTR Line 17 is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Jingcheng Expressway and Wangjingxi Road in Chaoyang District. It offers a three-line transfer with Line 13 and Line 15, and is seamlessly integrated with the Wangjingxi Transportation Hub. The original transfer footbridge between Line 13 and Line 15 will be closed concurrently.

Wangjingxi Station on Line 17 is equipped with two elevators and two lifting platforms within the station, facilitating travel for the elderly, wheelchair users, and passengers with large luggage. A family-friendly accessible restroom and a baby care lounge have been provided, creating a convenient and safe travel environment for elderly passengers, nursing mothers, and infants.Additionally, 56 Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Equipment, 2 water vending machines, and other facilities provide passengers with higher quality travel services. Meanwhile, to facilitate passenger travel, BJMTR has carefully designed larger, more prominent, and more guiding signs, which are posted in locations such as the station concourse, transfer passages, and the transportation hub hall of Wangjingxi Station on Line 17, clearly indicating directions to elevators, transfers, and train boarding, making travel routes clear at a glance.

In addition, Wangjingxi Station on Line 17 is equipped with AEDs and 100% of the station's frontline staff have completed professional first-aid training and obtained relevant certifications from authorized institutions, ensuring safe and smooth travel for passengers.

To ensure safe and smooth travel for passengers after opening, Wangjingxi Station on Line 17 has conducted pre-opening debugging of various equipment and facilities. This includes checking the operation of automatic ticket vending machines, AFG, escalators, elevators, station broadcast systems, PIS, and lighting system to ensure they are in good working condition. The station has also prepared necessary items such as fare cards, flow control barriers, informational signs, guidance signs, and flood prevention materials for rapid emergency response. Thorough cleaning has been carried out to provide a safe and tidy travel environment. Meanwhile, station staff have completed specialized service training and drills, aiming to deliver timely and high-quality services upon opening. Additionally, the station has developed a detailed operation organization plan and will increase staff deployment during peak hours to strengthen guidance at key areas, including the concourses, platforms, and transfer passages, ensuring safe and smooth passenger travel.
