At the start of 2026, BJMTR's STEAM Education Program visited Beijing 101 Middle School Kuangda Campus and Beijing Primary School Guangwai Campus, bringing a newly upgraded "Rail Exploration Adventure" course to nearly 100 students. The immersive science experience, which combined knowledge-based instruction with hands-on activities, officially kicked off BJMTR's 2026 STEAM education initiatives.
This session introduced, for the first time, an innovative teaching model combining "historical exploration + scientific inquiry." In the newly designed "historical exploration" segment, students had the opportunity to explore the evolution of railway—from ancient Greece to the present day—through an immersive experience that brought the history of rail to life. This first lesson of the year, imbued with a sense of ceremony and innovation, planted the seeds of scientific exploration in the students' minds
A representative from BJMTR stated that launching the STEAM Education Program initiative aims to spark students' interest in rail transit technology and cultivate their scientific thinking and practical abilities through engaging and scenario-based methods. In the future, BJMTR will continue to integrate industry resources, optimize the curriculum system, and build an open innovation practice platform for teenagers, providing strong support for fostering their scientific and technological innovation literacy.
