BJMTR takes multiple measures to ensure the safety and smooth travel of passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush

The Spring Festival 2024 travel rush starts on January 26 and ends on March 5 with a period of 40 days. To ensure the safety and smooth travel of passengers during the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush, all lines operated by BJMTR have formulated passenger transport organization plans in advance, make proper arrangements for train operations, and passenger flow guidance of large passenger flow stations. With the opening of the north section of Line 17 and Line 16 achieves through-train service, the route length of lines operated by BJMTR has exceed 190.4 kilometers. During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, the total patronage of lines operated by BJMTR is expected to be nearly 71.626 million, a 37% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, patronage of Line 4-Daxing is expected to reach 32.597 million, Line 14 is expected to reach 26.096 million, Line 16 is expected to reach 9.151 million, the south section of Line 17 is expected to reach 2.235 million, and the north section of Line 17 is expected to reach 1.547 million.

To ensure safe operations and smooth travel of the passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush, BJMTR will adopt weekday and weekend timetables according to the national holidays and passenger flow conditions  and the capacity will be allocated appropriately to meet the demand. Additionally, BJMTR will closely monitor changes in passenger flow, prepare for additional trains and extending operating hours based on passenger flow conditions, to ensure passengers travel smoothly.
