On July 12, 2018, more than 350 middle school students from Beijing and Hong Kong gathered in Beijing to participate in the final of the 1st Beijing-Hong Kong Metro Train Model Contest for middle school students. With their innovative ideas, the students depicted the bright future of the city and the development of rail transit.
The competition has received wide attention and active participation from teachers and students of middle schools in Beijing and Hong Kong since it was launched in April 2018. A total of 146 entries were received from Beijing and Hong Kong. Among them, 137 entries from 75 middle schools in 11 districts are from Beijing. After the evaluation of expert, 93 entries made to the finalist. 9 teams from Hong Kong schools were invited to compete in the "Driving" session.
