Two new lines (sections) of BJMTR are under active preparation
By the end of 2023, the north section of Line 17 is scheduled to open, and at the same time, Line 16 will achieve through-train service. The route length of lines operated by BJMTR will exceed 190 kilometers.

BJMTR Safety Camp launches a series of fire-fighting themed activities to popularize metro safety knowledge
On the occasion of the 'National Fire-fighting Publicity Month', BJMTR Safety Camp launches a series of fire-fighting themed activities in November, with a total of three events which will respectively take place at Beijing Primary School Tongzhou Branch Campus, Beijing Wenhui Primary School of Dongcheng District, and Fengyi Campus of the First Primary School of Fengtai District. These events will conduct safety knowledge classes, featuring easy-to-understand rhymes, lively and interesting scientific experiments, allowing students to learn safety knowledge in a more intuitive and relaxed manner. Additionally, during breaks or lunchtime, metro safety popular science videos will be played, combining online and offline methods to educate nearly 3000 students about metro fire-fighting knowledge, enhancing their awareness of safety when taking the metro.

BJMTR takes multiple measures to ensure the safe and smooth travel of passengers during the Red Leaves Festival
The Red Leaves Festival of 2023 has started since mid-October and will last for one month. Based on previous years' data analysis, Beigongmen Station, Xiyuan Station of Line 4 that are close to Fragrant Hills, China National Botanical Garden and the Summer Palace will see an increase in passenger flow.

To ensure smooth transfer for passengers arriving at Beijing South Railway Station and Beijing Chaoyang Station during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, and to guarantee smooth travel for those arriving in Beijing at night, the operation time of Beijing South Railway Station of Line 4 and Dongfeng Beiqiao Station of Line 14 extended to facilitate passenger travel.
