By applying a self-developed passenger flow forecasting system, deploying 127 new lockers, and adding peak-hour guidance signs, BJMTR has implemented multiple measures to ensure safe and convenient travel for passengers during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays
The National Day and Mid-Autumn Day holidays in 2025 will run from Wednesday, October 1 to Wednesday, October 8. During the overlapping National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays this year, BJMTR leveraged its self-developed passenger flow forecast system that integrates various data sources such as gate entry/exit records and passenger traffic to provide holiday-wide and time-slot-specific passenger flow predictions for all 114 stations under its operation. Key stations including those connected to railway stations (such as Line 4-Daxing Line’s Beijing South Railway Station, Line 14’s Beijing South Railway Station, and Line 16’s Fengtai Railway Station) and those near popular commercial areas and attractions (such as Line 4-Daxing Line’s Beigongmen Station and Xidan Station, Line 14’s Jintai Lu Station and Dawang Lu Station, and Line 17’s Workers’ Stadium Station) will dynamically optimize service staffing in critical areas including transfer passages, gates, and platforms during forecasted peak hours. This will enhance passenger guidance, customer service, and emergency response capabilities to improve the passenger travel experience.
