April 26, 2018, “Create Future with Passion of Youth” Metro Train Model Competition kicked off at BJL14 BeiGongDa XiMen station. People from Beijing Liaison Office of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Municipal Transport Commission, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, BJMTR , Beijing Student Activity Administrative Center, Beijing Youth Science and Technology Center and Partners Education Foundation and Representatives of competing students and their coaches attended the event.
All middle school students in Beijing and Hong Kong are eligible to compete. Competitors are divided into two groups (Junior high school student and high school student) and the competition topics are in 3 categories: creative design, build & assemble and operation of metro train model. The intent of this competition is to showcase the creativity of the competitors, enhance the knowledge and understanding of urban metro transit of young people, attract their attention to the development of metro train and promote communication between teenagers of Beijing and Hong Kong.
