Patronage of lines operated by BJMTR expected to reach 5.536 million during Spring Festival holiday

The Spring Festival holiday of 2024 will start on February 10 (the first day of the lunar calendar) and end on February 17 (the eighth day of the lunar calendar). To ensure the safety and stability of the Spring Festival holiday, BJMTR formulates various plans in advance for Line 4-Daxing, Line 14, Line 16 and Line 17 and organizes trains according to the passenger flow. During the Spring Festival holiday, patronage of lines operated by BJMTR is expected to reach 5.536 million, seeing an increase of 41% compared to the same period in 2023.

To further enhance the passengers’ travel experience, BJMTR pilots the optimization of "Priority Seat" signage on parts of the trains of Line 4-Daxing, Line 14, and Line 16. By posting signage of with more prominent red and white color schemes and larger font, it facilitates passengers in need to easily locate these seats, assisting them in convenient travel.

In addition, as the Spring Festival approaches, BJMTR and the National Library jointly launched themed cultural reading promotion event. By setting up cultural exhibition at the National Library Station on Line 16, creating a reading space at the Ciqu Station on Line 17 and displaying theme posters on light boxes at some stations, BJMTR has created a cultural ambiance for the Spring Festival.
