To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, BJMTR issues a set of commemorative tickets for the Chinese zodiac, "Gui Mao Tu" tickets to send Chinese New Year blessings to passengers.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, to further improve the travel experience of passengers, Beijing Univ. of Tech. West Gate station of Line 14 pilots the optimization of signs in the station to help passengers travel conveniently.

The Spring Festival holiday of 2023 will start on January 21 (Chinese New Year's Eve) and end on January 27 (The sixth day of the first lunar month). To ensure the safety and stability of the Spring Festival holiday, BJMTR formulates various plans in advance for Line 4-Daxing,14, 16 and 17 and organizes trains according to the passenger flow. During the Spring Festival holiday, patronage of lines operated by BJMTR is expected to reach 4.123 million.

From January 14 to March 14, through the publication of theme posters on the light boxes of some stations of Line 4, Line 14 and Line 16 operated by BJMTR, and set up themed cultural exhibitions at National Library station of Line 16 and Ciqu station of Line 17, the content with great historical and cultural value will be presented to passengers.

On 31 December ,2022, the south section of Line 16 operated by BJMTR opens and connects with the middle and north section. 31 December,2022 (Saturday) to 6 January(Friday),2023 marks the first week of the opening of south section of Line 16. 801,000 passengers are carried with average daily patronage of 114,000. The highest daily patronage is 153,000 (on 6 January,2023).
