The Spring Festival 2023 travel rush starts on January 7 and ends on February 15, with a period of 40 days. To ensure the safety and stability of the Spring Festival travel rush in 2023, BJMTR formulates various plans in advance for Line 4-Daxing, Line 14, Line 16 and Line 17 and organizes trains and passenger flow guidance in stations with large passenger flow. During the Spring Festival 2023 travel rush period, the total patronage of the lines operated by BJMTR is expected to increase significantly compared with last year, reaching nearly 55.021 million, seeing an increase of about 11% compared with 2022.

January 3, 2023 (Tuesday) marks the first weekday that the south section of Line 16 opens and connects with the middle and north section, the operation is organized according to the timetable of weekdays, and 294 trains are arranged with the minimum headway of six minutes and 8-minute headway during off-peak hours. 146,000 passengers are carried throughout the whole day. The operation order of BJMTR is stable and orderly.

To further enhance travel experience of passengers of Daxing Line during morning peak hours, BJMTR has once again optimized the operation organization on the basis of continuing the operation of the mode of combined long-turn and short-turn routing. From January 3, the morning peak operation hour of Daxing Line will be extended by 20 minutes on weekdays, providing great convenience for passengers during the morning peak.

The New Year's Day holiday 2023 starts from December 31 ,2022 and ends at January 2,2023. The patronage of lines operated by BJMTR totals 2.142 million, among which, Line 4-Daxing account for a total of 1.078 million. Line 14 accounts for a total of 0.803 million and Line 16 accounts for 193,000. Line 17 accounts for a total of 68,000. A total of 4,356 train trips are dispatched on all lines operated by BJMTR.
