To enrich the summer vacation of children and enhance their safety awareness of metro travel, on July 8 and 9, BJMTR Safety Camp entered Yude Community in Xinjiekou Street and Zhenghuangqi North Community in Malianwa Street respectively. The camp carried out the "'Fun Summer in Beijing, Safe Metro Travel for Children' Metro Safety Class in the Community" event, providing nearly 100 children and parents with metro travel safety knowledge in a lively and engaging manner.
During the "Safety Knowledge Workshop", BJMTR Safety Camp instructors used real-life cases to explain the operational principles of escalators in an easy-to-understand manner. They particularly reminded children to avoid playing or running on escalators and emphasized safety details such as standing firmly and holding handrails. Through visual aids and everyday examples, they provided a detailed explanation of why items like alcohol are prohibited in metro stations, helping everyone understand the importance of metro security checks in ensuring travel safety.
To make safety knowledge more vivid and accessible, safety instructors brought interactive demonstrations such as the "Inertia Coin" and "Vanishing Foam" experiments. These activities vividly explained safety rules including "standing firm and holding handrails when taking escalators" and "prohibiting flammable and explosive materials", along with the scientific principles behind them. These edutainment-focused interactions not only sparked the children’s curiosity about science but also helped them firmly remember metro safety rules in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
