BJMTR holds “Travel with love, Travel without barrier" experience event to enhance metro services and build an accessible travel environment

On August 7, 2023, BJMTR launched "Travel with love, Travel without barrier" experience event along with the Beijing Barrier-free Environment Construction Promotion Center and other organizations. Representatives of visually impaired, physically impaired, and hearing impaired passengers are invited to personally experience the metro's accessible environment, increasing their understanding of barrier-free travel conditions. Through in-depth communication, the event aimed to further understand the travel needs of disabled passengers. Additionally, the event invites experts from the Sign Language Association and Winter Paralympic Assistance Service to teach the metro staff sign language and etiquette for assisting disabled passengers, which further enhances station services and builds an accessible travel environment.

In this event, Liu Zhuiming, the General Manager of BJMTR, specially invites disabled passengers and representatives from relevant organizations to become special experience officers of BJMTR. Through regular online and offline communication activities, BJMTR listens to the feedback and collects suggestions. BJMTR invites them to supervise the barrier-free travel services of the metro and provide positive recommendations, working together to build an accessible travel environment for the metro and contribute to the development of a sustainable and brighter future.
