Xuanwu Men Station | "Xuanwu"

Xuanwu Gate - one of the nine gates of Beijing in Ming and Qing Dynasty, is a cornerstone of Xuan Nan culture. It connects the inner and outer city, with Xidan to the north and Cai Shi Kou to the south. Xuan Nan culture encompasses the Imperial City culture, literati culture, and market culture, which originated and developed from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. It is an inseparable part of Beijing's historical and cultural heritage. In Xuanwu Gate, numerous Guildhalls stand, with many celebrities' former residences, as well as numerous traditional shops and businesses. Additionally, there are  many temples in the area.
