On the first day that the south section of Line 16 opens and connects with the middle and north section, the operation is organized according to the timetable of weekends, and 268 trains are arranged with eight-minute headway throughout the whole day. To improve passenger service, after connecting to the northern section and the middle section, the last train bound for Bei’anhe from Yuyuantan Park East Gate station will be prolonged for 22 minutes and the first train will start one minute earlier. The operation time of the first train bound for Yushuzhuang remains the same, allowing passengers to travel more flexibly and conveniently.
As of 8 am, the overall inbound and outbound traffic of Line 16 stations exceeds 8,200, among which traffic of the south section of Line 16 is about 2,518. The overall organization of passenger transport is stable and orderly.
The opening of the south section of Line 16 coincides with the approaching of the New Year. On the first day of operation, interactive activities will be held at Daguanying station and Fengtai Railway station of Line 16 to distribute exquisite gifts and send New Year wishes to passengers.
