BJMTR adopts multiple measures to ensure a smooth travel for passengers during summer travel season—pilot umbrella bag machines are set up to further enhance passengers' travel experience

The summer travel season of 2022 starts from July 1 and ends on August 31, with a total of 62 days. About 66.712 million passengers are expected to travel on lines operated by BJMTR during this period.

Among which, patronage of Line 4- Daxing is expected to reach 32.612 million, with an average daily patronage of 526,000. Patronage of Line 14 is expected to reach 25.916 million, and the average daily patronage is 418,000. The patronage of Line 16 is expected to reach 6.262 million, with an average daily patronage of 101,000. The patronage of Line 17 is expected to reach 1.922 million, with an average daily patronage of 31,000. BJMTR will pay close attention to the passenger flow, prepare spare trains at appropriate times and strengthen passenger flow guidance at big passenger flow stations to ensure the safe and smooth travel of passengers.

During the period, Beijing has entered flood season. To further optimize the travel experience of passengers, BJMTR set up pilot umbrella bag machines at Lingjing Hutong Station of Line 4-Daxing, Wangjing Station of Line 14, Tun Dian Station of Line 16, and Jiahuihu Station of Line 17. These stations will set up umbrella bag machines at some of its entrances for passengers in case of rainy weather, depending on the rain conditions and passenger flow. Passengers could contact the staff at the station at any time if they need assistance. It will help passengers to ensure the cleanness of clothing and reduce the risks caused by slippery ground and provide safer and more convenient travel experience in rainy days for passengers .

In addition, in order to further enhance the travel experience of passengers, BJMTR posts train timetables on the screen door of Huangcun Xidajie Station, Xingong Station, Gongyi Xiqiao Station, and Zhongguancun Station of 4-Daxing Line, Lize Shangwuqu Station and Dawayao Station of Line 14. The train timetable information and inquiry services are simultaneously launched on the official Weibo, WeChat service account and subscription account of BJMTR. It is convenient for passengers in need to know the arrival time of the train and make travel more convenient.
