Some careful passengers may found small changes in the train that fewer seats in the carriages thus the overall space has increased. It’s not only easier for people with large luggage or wheelchairs, but also make the train “bigger” during the morning and evening rush hours. It is reported that this is the continuous renovation of the multifunctional areas of Line 4 trains carried out by BJMTR since 2019. In 2020, all 53 trains on Line 4 will be completely renovated, and 28 trains have been completed so far. The renovated trains will be put into operation to further facilitate passenger travel.
