On June 29, hosted by Beijing Municipal Transport Committee, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and assisted by BJMTR, the 4th Exhibition on Security Check in Metro System was staged at National Library station of BJL4. Deputy Chief of Anti-terrorism Corps of Beijing Public Security Bureau Mr. Ma Dong, Deputy Chief of Public Transport Brigade of Beijing Public Security Bureau Mr. Chen Xiaoli and Mr. Tan Quan, Vice Managing Director of Beijing Transport Authority Mr. Wang Chunqiang, Deputy General Manger of BJMTR Mr. Wang Xinmin and Mr. John Kwok as well as Deputy General Manager of Beijing Metro Operation Company Mr. Lu Zhigang presented at the exhibition.
At the opening ceremony, BJMTR set up an experiencing booth at National Library station, passengers can experience portable explosive detector, dangerous liquid detector, anti-explosion blanket and portable metal detector personally for the first time. Via presentation of the security check persons and explanation of the security check equipment, passengers see the necessity of security check.
Metro is an important means of transport used by citizens. Security check in metro system ensures operation safety. As briefed by leaders in Public Transport Brigade of Beijing Public Security Bureau, the theme of this exhibition is “Security check ensure Safety” and the aim of the exhibition is to promote the awareness of the citizens that security check is a necessary step to enter metro premises.
