BJMTR Holds its First Offline Experiential Activity for M-Library Readers

On July 19, 2019, BJMTR held its first offline experiential activity for M-Library readers as the National Library organized the 3rd Old Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) party, with this year’s theme of “The Amazing Quyi Art”. BJMTR invited more than 40 passengers to the National Library where they watched ICH performances of Quyi art, tried out musical instruments like Danxian and Shugu, and had a cultural exchange on the intangible heritage.

ICH inheritors of Beijing Quyi art and famous artists such as Zhao Yuming, Zhong Yujie, Wang Yuebo and Cui Weike put on a fantastic show at the event. The programs included a Danxian ensemble performance of “Beijingers”, a Xihe Dagu performance of “Rhythmic Tongue Twisters”, a Danxian performance of “Beijing Snacks” and a Beijing Qinshu performance of “The Longevity Village”. The audience enjoyed the lively shows and was fascinated by the beauty of the cultural heritage.
